Activity books are one of the most popular and highly demanded types of books, for obvious reasons. They are the type of books, typically aimed at Kids with lots of interactive content. Examples are letter or number tracing, coloring, puzzles and quizzes activity books. These books help kids to develop their writing, reading and reasoning skills, whilst enjoying a fun activity. The learning of children dramatically improves as they perform most of these learning activities.
It’s my greatest joy to see people been successful publishing and making money on KDP to help people publish their books on Amazon
ALPHABET AND NUMBER TRACING WITH DOT LETTER DOT MARKER
The best way to stand out in the crowded coloring book niche is to design your own coloring books. But since speed and the number of books one has on the platform are the key determining factors to making money in this business, most bestsellers either outsource their book interior or buy already designed interiors known as premade interiors from professional sites like creative fabrica and only edit basic editing to suit their personal requirements. The rest is just to their book covers, for upload. This helps these guys to upload more books and by that make more money than the average guy who usually starts from the scratch of designing. But regardless, the great news is this, it is also possible to do this from scratch if you have all the time, and it is super easy to do this in PowerPoint – even if like me, you can’t draw.

DESIGNING IN POWERPOINT
Do the first thing first.
1. Set up the dimensions of your book interior. Head to KDP and pick the right book size. The common book sizes are the 8.5 x 11 and the 6 x 9 sizes. For purposes of this tutorial, we will be using a standardized of 8.5 x 11, in inches.
Open your powerpoint and set up the right book dimensions like you see below;
2. Set the right margins for KDP purposes
Since most of the books that are sold range in the pages of 0 – 300, we will be using a margin either 0.40 –0.50. For me I have set my template to a margin of .50 and this works fine without any problem at all.
Lets see how to achieve this in powerpoint;
First use the rectangular element to set up your margins. This is how it is, then set the right margins.
Our book interior is now ready and set at a margin of 0.4 width and .04 height. We are good to go
Its been excellent training so far.
Creating your first Giant Tracing Letter
Follow the steps and illustrations below to create your first big tracing letter.
You can either use table within powerpoint to create the template needed to write your first letter. Lets assume we want the child to trace the first letter A.
Lets begin by inserting a table of the 1:2 or one column two rows. This will appear like what you see below;
Go to google and search for tracing fonts like this
I have several tracing fonts already installed on my machine. I will pick one and use it for the purposes of this example.
We shall continue in the next article. We will try and create ABC tracing and coloring, and also try and great giant ABCD coloring book
